Linn Keltik Loudspeakers & Quad Klout Power Amplifier Package
This Linn Keltik Quad Amplifier Package represents a complete fully Aktiv amplification solution designed specifically to unlock the full performance potential of the Linn Keltik loudspeakers.
At the heart of this system are multiple Linn Klout power amplifiers from Linn Products, configured to drive the Keltik in active mode. In this arrangement, each driver section of the loudspeaker is powered directly by its own dedicated amplifier channel via Linn Aktiv crossovers, bypassing passive crossover components inside the speaker.
What Aktiv Operation Means
The Linn Keltik was designed to operate in either passive mode or in Linn’s Aktiv (active) configuration.
In Aktiv mode:
-
Electronic crossover modules divide frequencies before amplification
-
Passive crossover components inside the loudspeaker are bypassed
-
Each defined frequency band is powered directly by its own amplifier channel
-
Aktiv crossover cards are installed in compatible Linn amplifiers such as the Klout
This configuration allows each amplifier channel to operate over a specific frequency range as determined by the Aktiv crossover design.
Linn Klout Power Amplifier
The Klout is a high-current stereo power amplifier engineered for stability into demanding loudspeaker loads.
Klout Power Amplifier Characteristics:
-
Stereo (2-channel) solid-state power amplifier
-
Designed to accept Linn Aktiv crossover cards
-
Stable into lower impedance loads
-
Suitable for multi-amplifier Linn Aktiv systems
When used in pairs, Klout amplifiers provide the required four channels for quad-amping a stereo pair of Keltik loudspeakers.

Design Intent
A quad-amp Aktiv configuration is designed to:
-
Provide dedicated amplification to each active frequency band
-
Bypass internal passive crossover networks
-
Allow frequency division to occur before amplification
This configuration reflects Linn’s modular system philosophy and was a core part of their high-performance multi-amplifier ecosystem.
The Linn Keltik Quad-Amp Aktiv Package with Klout power amplifiers represents a properly configured multi-amplifier Linn system. Using two Klout stereo amplifiers per Keltik Loudspeaker and dedicated Aktiv crossover modules, it delivers four channels of amplification to a stereo pair of Keltik loudspeakers in fully active operation.
