Tweeter-on-Top Configuration
The 805S features B&W’s signature externally mounted tweeter, mechanically isolated from the cabinet to minimise vibration and improve high-frequency clarity and imaging.
Kevlar® Mid/Bass Driver
A woven Kevlar cone is used for the mid/bass driver, chosen for its controlled breakup characteristics and natural tonal balance—one of B&W’s defining technologies of the era.
Balanced Drive Technology
Derived from the earlier Signature 805, the Balanced Drive motor system reduces inductance variation in the voice coil, lowering distortion and improving midrange transparency.
Flowport™ Bass System
The rear port features a dimpled surface (Flowport) to reduce air turbulence and port noise, improving low-frequency performance and efficiency.
