McIntosh MHA200 Vacuum Tube Headphone Amplifier (RESERVED)
The McIntosh MHA200 Vacuum Tube Headphone Amplifier is designed for discerning headphone enthusiasts seeking the performance and character of McIntosh vacuum tube amplification in a dedicated personal listening system.
The MHA200 combines a pair of 12AT7 and 12BH7A dual-triode vacuum tubes with a pair of McIntosh Unity Coupled Circuit output transformers. These transformers have been specifically adapted for headphone use, providing four selectable impedance ranges from 32 ohms through to 1,000 ohms, with 500mW of headphone power output.
The MHA200 offers both balanced and unbalanced stereo inputs and provides three headphone connection options. These comprise dedicated left and right 3-pin balanced XLR outputs, a 4-pin balanced stereo XLR output and a conventional 1/4-inch stereo headphone connection. A built-in volume control also allows the MHA200 to be connected directly to sources with fixed-volume outputs.
