The Quad L Centre is a purpose-designed centre-channel loudspeaker from Quad’s highly regarded L Series—developed to deliver tonal consistency and seamless integration within multi-channel systems built around the same range. True to Quad’s long-standing philosophy of “the closest approach to the original sound,” it prioritises neutrality, coherence, and vocal clarity above all else.
Engineered as a compact 2-way, 3-driver configuration, the L Centre employs dual mid/bass drivers flanking a centrally positioned tweeter. This layout is optimised for dialogue intelligibility and even horizontal dispersion, ensuring voices remain anchored to the screen with natural presence and articulation.
The use of Kevlar cone drivers—a hallmark of the L Series—contributes to controlled breakup characteristics and low coloration, while the carefully tuned crossover ensures smooth integration between drive units.
